It is hand forged from a single piece of high Manganese spring steel and hand sharpened using refined techniques producing an excellent quality dual edged blade.

Manganese spring steel is renowned for its excellent blade characteristics, including resiliency, flexibility, a high carbon content and good edge holding qualities. This Jian sword is no exception and is very strong, flexible and razor sharp. It’s a real pleasure to use and is sharp enough to cut bamboo stems, grass matting & more.
