Cocobolo tree timber is often described as a vibrant, shifting palette of kaleidoscopic colors, which include orange, red, yellow and brown, combined with black streaks. It is sought after for these reasons as well as its fine and even texture, natural luster and high glassy polish finish. 

As a true rosewood species, Cocobolo lumber is exceedingly dense, hard and extremely oily, which contributes to the timber’s excellent durability.
