Fluorine is the most reactive, electronegative, and lightest halogen, existing as a pale yellow-green, highly toxic diatomic gas. Interestingly, due to this element’s extreme reactivity, it forms compounds with nearly all elements, including noble gases, and is used for manufacturing fluoropolymers (Teflon), pharmaceuticals, refrigerants and nuclear fuel.
