The replaceable blades are made from SK5 steel; which is a modern, highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with on average 0.85% carbon and small amounts of silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and manganese. Characteristics include excellent blade hardness, toughness, wear-resistance, edge holding capacity, and fair blade resilience.

Blades are easily and quickly changed via the simple blade-fixing slot, which securely holds the blade into place, and spare blade packs are available for an affordable price.
