Mexican Bocote Wood

It’s a dense, hard and durable exotic timber with a high oil content, of which is highly prized for high-end furniture-making, tool and knife handles, chests and wood-turning projects and more. 

Additionally, the timber has a unique mild aroma to what can be described as the smell of dill-pickles after being cut, which persists even after working, making this wood very popular for turning into wood jewelry, chests and furniture.

The wood itself finishes very nicely, often taking-on a glassy appearance after polishing, and uniquely its bold colors darken tastefully with age.
