Chinese Katana

The purpose of this laminate is to utilize the tough, hard and durably sharp cutting edge capability of 1060 steel, while facilitating additional blade resilience and elasticity with medium folded steel jackets. A Sanmai laminate is arguably the most battle-effective structural configuration for real combat, and certainly forms a very lethal foundational core to this Dao Chinese sword. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade.

Completed with an Ebony hardwood scabbard, along with premium brass fittings – with many decorations plated in genuine gold & silver, and a matching Ebony hardwood handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective hand-grip.
