This combination of modern steels produces a hard, razor sharp and reliable cutting edge outer-layer of Damascus, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. Furthermore, the VG10 stainless steel inner core provides excellent elasticity and resilience, along with the most desirable attributes resisting corrosion.
