Axehead construction is a single forge of real, modern folded Damascus steel, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels.
This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably one of the best axehead blades for an outdoor axe, or any other tool for that matter. The steel is hard and capable of being sharpened to a razor sharp edge, along with encapsulating excellent tool resilience.
Furthermore, the handle is constructed with a premium Rosewood material. Very strong and naturally shock-absorbing, the handle could easily last for over 100 years with proper care.
Very reliable, this short axe design is tried and tested, still to this day enduring as a practical and effective classic wooden handle hatchet.
