24K Gold Flower Katana

This fully functional weapon is constructed to full Japanese character and with the finest quality materials. This includes a hardwood handle wrapped with genuine shark-skin & real leather cord Ito and brass sword fittings – plated in genuine 24K gold.

Finally, the hardwood & leather scabbard is inlaid with mother-of-pearl shell in the form of a dragon + buffalo horn inlays and a handmade silk Sageo. Very lavish in materials, design, artwork and the extreme quality of the sword doesn’t stop here.

The blade is hand forge laminated into three separate sections with two types of steel into an advanced Honsanmai laminate structure.

T10 steel, the highest carbon content steel used for sword-smithing and perhaps the best steel for Katana combat blade making, is used for the core of the blade. This core steel is then forge-weld laminated on both sides with medium hardness folded steel, also a renowned Japanese sword steel with excellent elasticity and resiliency.

The blade’s edge is then genuine clay tempered with a visible wave Hamon, producing a clean defined hard cutting edge and softer resilient spine to absorb battle stresses.
