This long, battle functional Guandao can be used either as a 173cm long Guan Yu weapon for high leverage relatively long ranged attacks, or with the handle extension detached, a powerful slashing and lopping shortsword, similar in effect to a Chinese scimitar sword.

The blade is forged with high Manganese steel (spring steel), which is arguably one of the best modern sword-smithing steels available. The steel has a perfect balance of a high carbon content, producing a hard and reliable cutting edge, along with by far the most desirable resilience and elasticity, which spring steel is renowned for.
