In cold climates ground insulation can become an issue, which can be solved with a hammock underquilt (sold separately), or by accumulating a pile of natural ground debris under your hammock (leaves, moss, bark, etc). When sunken in for a sleep this insulation will cocoon the hammock and become incredibly warm. 

This particular model of parachute hammock is strong, stable, lightweight and 100% insect proof. A waterproof rain-fly is included which can be either roped taut above the hammock, or draped over the rigid pole frames and secured to the bottom of the hammock structure.
