Forged with folded steel, which is a mixture of 1095 & 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded twenty-five times to remove impurities, creating over one-thousand individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade. 

 

 

Relatively lightweight considering its 175m length, this 2kg, classic Samurai polearm is strong and reliable, making a formidable ranged, open-field cutting and slashing weapon, with a lopping effect similar to that of the scimitar sword or Dao, only with much higher leverage, power and attack range. 

Battle functional blade options include: Sharp 1060 steel, 1095 high carbon steel – genuine clay tempered, T10 high carbon steel – genuine clay tempered.

Training blade options include: 1045 carbon steel for non-contact practice, dull 1060 high carbon steel for contact training.
