Chinese Sword Jian

Equipped with a folded steel blade, which is a hammer-welded mixture of 1095 & 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating approximately 1,380 individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available.

The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades, and certainly forms a very lethal foundational core to this Jian weapon. 

Sword and scabbard fittings are decorated with intricate copper artworks, of which many illustrations are plated in real gold & silver – very lavish materials and artistry.
