Metal Scribing Tool

The main tool body is a #45 medium-carbon steel; which is a modern industrial-grade, highly refined iron base-steel alloyed with 0.45% carbon, significant manganese, and traces amounts of other elements. The scribe tips are further brazed with a 9-9.5 Mohs tungsten-carbide, which ranks just below diamond’s hardness of 10 Mohs.
