Japanese Short Sword Wakizashi

It’s a high carbon steel, well known for its almost perfect balance of good blade strength, hardness, toughness, edge-holding capacity, as well as renowned blade elasticity and excellent resilience, with very similar characteristics to a 1060 carbon steel sword blade. High Manganese steel is without a doubt, one of the most versatile steels available, and arguably the best blade-making steel for a combat sword.

The matching hardwood scabbard & handle close seamlessly together, forming a straight, small staff stick. The hardwood handle acts as a simple, sturdy and maintenance free handle-grip, which is not only effective for combat, but also presents in a clean, traditional Wakizashi Shirasaya sword form.
