Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade. 

Completed with a conspicuous red-rosewood scabbard, solid brass sword fittings – all of which are engraved with illustrations, and a matching rosewood handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective hand-grip.
