Remodeled as per the historic design of bearded Viking axe used for both close quarters hand-to-hand combat and throwing axe. 

This style of axe was, and still may be used as an effective combat axe, with shield disabling capability and with its broad, moderately bearded axehead, makes a very effective Viking throwing axe, with hard hitting potential. 

Constructed with a high carbon steel axe head, this hand forged short axe head is tough, hard and holds a reliable sharp edge. Furthermore, securely fitted to the axehead is a flanged hardwood handle, again further improving its throwing axe effectiveness and actually improves hand combat striking power.
