These modern axes are constructed with a DC53 stainless steel head, which is an advanced metal composite capable of sharpening to a high degree and holding that sharp edge for longer due to its high carbon alloy. Stainless steel alloys are also renowned for their remarkable resilience against damage and for their resistance to corrosion, which makes this modern composite a great choice for long-term survival and real battle. 

Furthermore, the axe handle construct is an almost indestructible G10 composite material. This material is extremely strong, shock absorbing, impervious to moisture and encapsulates a molded hand grip, which remains effective even when wet. The handle is securely bolted to the full tang axe head.
