This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Beautifully completed with hardwood scabbard with 3x buffalo horn inserts, along with solid brass fittings – many of which are plated in real gold & silver, and a hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin & quality cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip.
