White Dragon Katana

The most valuable part of any sword however is its blade, with this Honsanmai laminate certainly forming a premium foundational core of this fully functional and battle ready Katana.

Using two world class sword-smithing steels; 1095 carbon steel which is one of the highest carbon content steels available and folded steel, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels, of which is repeatedly folded to remove impurities in the steel.

With these two steels, the blade is then hand-forged laminated into three separate sections, creating an advanced Honsanmai laminate structure. The structural layout consists of a 1095 carbon steel hard cutting edge and soft core & spine, along with two medium hardness sides of folded steel, of which are hand-forged laminated to this 1095 inner core.

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade. 

The premium hardwood scabbard which is wrapped with real stingray-skin + buffalo horns inserts and beautiful dragon sword fittings, complement the overall black Katana scheme with class & mystique. And the hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin & quality cord form a traditional and very effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
