High manganese steel, or spring steel, encapsulates both a high percentage of carbon & manganese, which both promote a hard, reliable cutting edge, along with the most desirable blade elasticity & resilience out of any other sword making steel. This means the blade is fully battle effective, sharp and importantly, you can be sure the blade and the edge will survive even the most violent combat. 

The hardwood scabbard wrapped with black leather and black sword fittings, complement the black Katana sword scheme well, keeping the weapon as stealthy as possible. And the hardwood, wrapped with leather cord form a traditional looking and very effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
