The dual-use blades are made from #60 carbon steel; which is a modern, highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with on average 0.6% carbon, significant manganese, and smaller amounts of silicon, phosphorus and sulfur. Characteristics include good blade hardness, toughness, wear-resistance, edge holding capacity, and very good blade resilience.

Very reliable, the aluminium-alloy tool body is not only tough and strong, it’s also extremely resistant against corrosion, which ensures a long tool service life. Simply un-screw the bottom to access spare blade storage and to replace the working fixed-blade.
