This crucible-mixture steel is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, a technique renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades in the region. 

Using a centuries-old art of both steel-smithing produces unique blade advantages in composition, cooling and thus crystallization size and distribution.

Sword and scabbard fittings are a simple solid brass, the scabbard a lacquered Chinese blackwood – of which is hand-painted with Han artistry, a traditional technique spanning over 2,000 years, and finally finished with a practical blackwood, wrapped with quality waxed-cord handle.
