Forged with folded steel, which is a mixture of 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating over many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades. 

Compiled with a beautiful, dark Ebony wood handle, hardwood scabbard and solid brass, battle practical sword fittings, this Jian Chinese sword is finished with simple, clean class and to full Chinese tradition.
