T10 is the highest carbon content steel used for sword making and is arguably the best steel available for a combat sword. 

Characteristics include a hard, reliable battle edge, which will hold its edge and stay sharp for longer than any other steel used for swordsmithing. Furthermore, the blade encapsulates good resilience and elasticity, as one would expect from any combat functional blade.

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade.

The army green, leather wrapped hardwood scabbard and decorative sword fittings, complement the cream and white Katana color scheme very nicely and to the style of the time. And the hardwood, wrapped with synthetic leather & quality cord form a traditional aesthetic and very effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
