The most valuable part of any sword however is its blade, with this T10 carbon steel blade certainly forming a high quality, and lethal foundational core to this sword saber. 

Forged with T10 steel, a high-carbon steel mixed with other trace elements, such as tungsten, manganese and silicon, etc, this modern, highly refined steel is renowned for its hardness, durable edge holding capacity, along with good elasticity and resilience. It is the highest carbon-content steel used for blade-smithing, and arguably the best sword-making steel available for a true combat sword. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade.

Completed with a lacquered hardwood scabbard, along with solid brass sword-fittings, and a hardwood, wrapped with real stingray-skin & quality cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
