Black Iaido Katana

Fitted with a 1045 steel blade, which is a modern, highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with on average 0.5% carbon content, 0.7% manganese, and small amounts of phosphorus, silicon and sulphur. 

1045 is a well rounded, medium tensile steel with good impact properties, wear-resistance, strength and excellent toughness, and is the choice steel for the construction of purely devoted training swords. 

Completed with a lacquered hardwood scabbard, quality sword-fittings, and a hardwood, wrapped with pu-leather & quality-cord handle, forming a practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip.

This Iaito Katana is a pleasure to own and use for the purposes of Iaido and sword-training.
