Kwan Dao Weapon

A very special and rare Kwan Dao weapon.

Similar to the Japanese Nagamaki and European glaive in design and function, this very long, versatile Chinese polearm weapon is used for ranged, chopping, slashing and thrusting attacks. Due to its length, the weapon is purely purposed for wide, open battlefield spaces. 

Additionally, its incorporated 9 rings offer unique advantages in weapon control, parrying damage to an opponent’s blade, and as a means of distraction through noise, or visually if colorful tassels are attached to the rings.

 

The most valuable part of any bladed-weapon however is its blade, with this genuine Longquan-forged blade, certainly forming a deadly & very practical core standard, to this fully battle ready polearm. 

Forged with Damascus folded steel, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded thirteen times to remove impurities, creating over many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best blade-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing the finest combat blades. 

Finished with a very hard and strong boxwood handle, and solid brass fittings – intricately illustrated with the powerful Chinese dragon, this Chinese Guandao weapon is premium quality in its entirety and primed for high-end collection.

Description:

This is a heavy duty super kwan dao, hand forged, nice looking.

The blade is made from hand forged patten folded steel by the way of the traditional method of making swords in longquan.

That has been hand folded at least 10 times with 7800 layers.

You also can understand it is a Damascus Steel made by clay steel.

So, the blade is very strong, and hard.

The fittings are made from handmade solid brass with Chinese Dragon Head Carving, antique looking.

The shaft can be disassembled into 2 parts, easy and portable.

The pole(shaft) is made out of expensive authentic Chinese strong boxwood..
