Kwan Dao Weapon

Powerful, with a broad curved blade that is capable of delivering effective thrusting attacks, and fitted with a long handle, producing high leverage blows at range. This versatile Chinese polearm weapon was deployed on open-battlefields, and was used for large sweeping attacks against sometimes multiple ground-combatants, used as a horse chopping sword of sorts, and was very effective for demounting riders from their horses. 

Equipped with a folded steel blade, which is a hammer-welded mixture of 1095 & 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best blade-making steel available.

The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat blades, assuredly forming a very lethal foundational core to this Chinese Guandao weapon. 

Completed with solid brass fittings – which are prominently devoted to the powerful dragon, and a strong hardwood handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective long handle-grip.

This Guan Dao weapon is sharp and deadly, and is executed with superb craftsmanship. It’s highly collectable, a treasure to own and a formidable pole weapon to use.
