Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade. 

Completed with a hardwood wrapped with stingray-skin scabbard, solid brass fittings – most of which are plated in real gold, and a hardwood, wrapped with stingray-skin handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective hand-grip. 

This reproduced Japanese one hand sword saber is deadly, and executed with special craftsmanship. It’s highly collectable, a treasure to own and a formidable war sword to use.
