Japanese Ninja Sword

The shorter yet practical combat size of this straight Japanese sword was definitely part of the Ninja’s overall offensive strategy, not only in the realm of confined space combat, but with logistics & obstacle navigation, stealth, surprise & weapon smuggling and lastly secretive & economical weapons manufacture. 

The construct is a full tang forge of 1060 high carbon steel (spring steel), with a perfect balance of desirable blade characteristics, including a hard, reliable cutting edge, along with excellent elasticity and resilience against chipping and blade deformation. 

The two handed sword handle is designed to be used interchangeably with one or two hands, and is constructed with hardwood wrapped in real sting-ray skin & synthetic silk. The sword is sheathed within a practical hardwood scabbard and high quality metal fittings finish the straight sword in full battle functional readiness. 

A balanced cutting and thrusting single edged sword  and a very deadly weapon when used in the environment it was designed for. That being, in a confined space with surprise on the Ninja’s side and the opponent at their weakest alerted & armed status.
