This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available.

The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades, and certainly forms a very lethal foundational core to this Chinese Dao sword.
