This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edges, while leaving the blade’s core softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced blade-making technology and visibly identifiable on this double edged dagger blade. 

Completed with a hardwood, wrapped with brass knife sheath, solid brass-fittings, and a matching hardwood, wrapped with brass handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective hand-grip.
