Equipped with a T10 steel sword blade, forming a premium-quality and certainly a very lethal foundational core to this true Katana sabre. 

T10 steel is a modern, highly refined high-carbon steel, mixed with other trace elements, such as tungsten, manganese and silicon, etc. Its blade attributes include excellent toughness and hardness with a durable, sharp edge holding capacity, along with good blade elasticity and desirable resilience. T10 is one of the highest carbon-content steels used for blade-smithing, and is arguably the best sword-making steel available for a functional combat sword. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade. 

Completed with a lacquered hardwood scabbard, solid brass and steel sword-fittings, and a hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin & quality cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip.
