Fitted with a CPM-154 blade, which is a modern, highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with a high on average 1% carbon content, 14% chromium, a significant 4% molybdenum alloy, and smaller amounts of silicon and manganese. Blade characteristics include excellent toughness, hardness, wear resistance and edge holding capacity, and very good corrosion resistance.
Completed with a Santoprene rubber-thermoplastic composite handle, providing a very durable and strong hand-grip surface, even in wet conditions. The knife is holstered within a tough nylon-fiber sheath which is generally worn on a waist-belt.
