Skinning Gut Hook Knife

The gut hook is designed to quickly open the abdominal cavity like a zipper without puncturing internal organs, and the skinning knife blade is powerful, yet compact, and razor sharp for separating the hide from meat.

Fitted with a 8Cr13MoV blade, which is a modern iron-base steel alloyed with on average 0.8% Carbon, 14% Chromium and smaller amounts of Molybdenum, Vanadium, Silicon, Manganese, Sulfur and Phosphorus. Blade characteristics include good toughness, excellent hardness, easy sharpening to a razor-sharp degree and excellent corrosion resistance.

Completed with a modern G10 handle, which provides a tough, durable and strong hand-grip surface. And included with a genuine leather sheath which is generally secured to a waist-belt.

The best knife for field dressing deer, but also effective for elk, hog and goat.
