Equipped with a Wootz sword blade, which is a crucible-mix of predominantly iron and carbon-rich materials, along with trace amounts of other elements like manganese, silicon, and phosphorus, typically containing between 1.5-2% carbon, and is classified as an ultra-high carbon steel.

The crucible-forged process produces distinct characteristics within the steel, including a unique micro-structure as the steel cools, forming carbon-rich regions, which in-turn contribute to the steel’s Damascus-like patterns. Attributes include, an extremely tough and hard blade, capable of holding a durable, razor sharp cutting edge, along with good resistance to chipping, and desirable blade elasticity.
