The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades, and certainly forms a unique, and very lethal foundational core to this true Katana sabre. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade. 

Completed with a lacquered hardwood scabbard, along with copper & brass sword fittings – with many decorations plated in real gold & silver, and a hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin & silk-cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip.
