Forged with folded steel, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing Japanese Katana blades.

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade. 

The black lacquered hardwood scabbard and solid brass sword fittings complement the overall black Katana color scheme fittingly. And the hardwood, wrapped with real stingray-skin & quality cord form a traditional and very effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
