Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade. 

Completed with a lacquered hardwood & real buffalo horn insert scabbard, along with pure copper sword fittings – with many decorations plated with real gold, and a hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin & hog-skin leather handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip. 

This Uchigatana sword saber is sharp and deadly, and is executed with superb craftsmanship. It’s highly collectable, a treasure to own and a formidable war sword to use.
