Built for field use, this compact deer skinning knife is ideal for the delicate work of removing hide without damaging both the hide or meat while working the blade. Also notably, the blade has a sharp pointed tip which is usually void of Nessmuk knives, which is purposed for the delicate work of caping around antlers, neck, shoulders and hooves.
Fitted with a 8Cr13MoV blade, which is a modern iron-base steel alloyed with on average 0.8% Carbon, 14% Chromium and smaller amounts of Molybdenum, Vanadium, Silicon, Manganese, Sulfur and Phosphorus. Blade characteristics include good toughness, excellent hardness, easy sharpening to a razor-sharp degree and excellent corrosion resistance.
Securely bolted to the tang is a modern G10 handle, which provides a comfortable, firm grip, even in wet conditions. And the knife houses securely within a quality Kydex belt sheath, which is generally fixed to a waist-belt.
A great all-rounder skinner knife for most wild game species, including boar, deer and goat.
