Katana Devil Sword

1095 is one of the highest carbon content modern steels used for sword-smithing and arguably the best combat sword-making steel available, assuredly forming a very lethal foundational core to this true Katana sabre. 

Blade characteristics include a hard & tough, reliable & durable cutting edge, along with desirable blade resilience and good elasticity, which 1095, being technically a higher carbon content spring steel, is renowned for. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade. 

The beautiful black lacquered, hardwood scabbard, along with solid brass sword fittings, complement the black Katana handle nicely. And the hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin & quality cord handle form a traditional and very effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip.
