Miao Dao Sword

Equipped with a folded steel blade, which is a hammer-welded mixture of 1095 & 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available.

The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades, and certainly forms a very deadly foundational core to this Chinese war sword. 

Completed with a beautiful and very hard, rosewood handle & scabbard, along with solid brass fittings, this sleek and slender Chinese sword is finished with fine quality, and in full classic style of the period.
