Miao Dao Sword

Forged with folded steel, which is a mixture of 1095 & 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades.

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade. 

Completed with a dark Ebony hardwood scabbard, along with pure-copper fittings, and an Ebony hardwood, wrapped with quality waxed-cord handle, forming a practical and effective, yet traditional handle-grip.
