T10 is the highest carbon content steel used for sword making and is arguably the best steel available for a true Katana. Characteristics include a hard, reliable battle edge, which will hold its edge and stay sharp for longer than any other steel used for swordsmithing. Furthermore, the blade encapsulates good resilience and elasticity, as one would expect from any combat functional blade.
Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword making technology and visibly identifiable on this sword’s blade.
The beautiful black lacquered, hardwood scabbard, along with solid sword fittings complement the brown Katana handle nicely and with humility. And the hardwood, wrapped with real stingray-skin & quality cord form a traditional and effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
