Fitted with a modern DC-53 steel blade, which is a highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with a high on average 1% carbon content, 8% chromium and smaller amounts of manganese, silicon, molybdenum and vanadium. Blade characteristics include excellent toughness and hardness, easy sharpening to a razor-sharp degree and good corrosion resistance.
Completed with a modern linen-micarta handle, which provides a tough, durable and strong hand-grip surface. And included with a quality Kydex sheath which is generally secured to a waist-belt.
