Forged from 1095 high carbon steel, one of the highest carbon content steels used for blade-smithing and perhaps the best steel for Katana combat blade making with more consideration towards blade resiliency. The blade is further genuine clay tempered with a visible wave Hamon, producing a clean defined hard cutting edge and softer resilient spine to absorb battle stresses.

Very deadly, this Japanese sword is quick to strike with and is a balanced combat sword with the exact same cutting, slashing and thrusting versatility as the Katana longsword, only shorter.

Major advantages of this Ko Katana include a lower weight and size for transport, adaptability to both open-field and enclosed space fighting spaces such as rooms, corridors, etc and these swords strike with much faster speed than the standard long sword. Additionally, when paired with a second weapon such as a Wakizashi, the tandem pair becomes a formidable dual weapon fighting combination, which few combatants can counter.
