Wakizashi Iaito Sword

Equipped with a medium-hardness folded steel blade, which is a hammer-welded mixture of 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available.

The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades, and certainly forms a very practical and forgiving foundational core to this Japanese training sword. 

Completed with a lacquered hardwood scabbard, solid brass sword fittings, and a hardwood, wrapped with pu-leather & quality-cord, forming a practical and very effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip. 

This Iaito sword is a pleasure to own and use for the purposes of Iaido and sword-training.
