Grafting Tool

Fitted with a W18 HHS steel blade; which is a modern, highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with on average 0.75% carbon, 4% chromium, a very high 18% tungsten content, and smaller amounts of vanadium, silicon and manganese. Characteristics include exceptional blade hardness, toughness, wear-resistance and edge holding capacity, along with some resistance against corrosion and fair blade resilience. 

Completed with a tough and durable rosewood handle, which is securely fixed to the full tang knife blade with two strong, steel rivets. 

Reliable & sturdy, a handy all-round garden knife and certainly a professional grafting knife for both plants and small trees.

Note: The extreme blade hardness, toughness, wear-resistance and edge retnetion qualities of this knife’s blade come at the cost of lower rust resistance, which should never become a structural concern so long as the blade is properly maintained with oil, sheathed, and the tool is stored properly with care.
