This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Completed with a lacquered hardwood scabbard, along with solid brass sword fittings – many of which are plated with real gold & silver, and a hardwood, wrapped with real stingray-skin & quality cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip.
