Kozuka Knife

Fitted with a stainless steel blade, which is primarily an iron-base alloyed with significant chromium, nickel and carbon, along with smaller amounts of molybdenum and vanadium. Attributes include a low maintenance, highly-corrosion resistant blade, that is both tough and durable, and capable of extreme blade deflections. Additionally, stainless blades can easily be sharpened to a razor-sharp degree. 

Completed with a decorated Kozuka handle, which in this case is artfully devoted to nature, the purpose of a beautiful Kozuka handle was to display a Samurai warrior’s rank and status. Images of nature carried significant spiritual weight for the Samurai, especially Samurai from rural clans, still largely dependent on the land for survival and for supporting their way of life.

A beautiful small Japanese knife which is sharp, useful, and makes a great addition to a Samurai sword collection.
